I'D LIKE TO BE A CLOUD
A white cloud I'd like to be
On a clear blue sky
And riding on his knee
Myself, I'd like to fly...
Faster than a light beam,
To embrace your heart,
As in my sweetest dream,
I had at the start...
But on the way, to die I fear,
As it might happen to the hope,
Which runs after a dream so dear,
Enwrapped in a cloudy envelop...
I fear that a counter blast
Could stop my flight
And make me fast
To rain down tonight.
I know you'll laugh
When feeling raindrops falling
And won‘t get of them enough
On your head and cheeks droping...
Even if they will kiss you
From your head to your feet,
You will never know
That... they're tears of a soul.
A soul whose longing dream,
Riding on the cloud,
Broke with a weeping scream,
As the cloud broke down.
